From a family tent to your favourite trip
Local Desert Tours grew from a single 4×4 and a promise: to show visitors the real Morocco, the way we'd welcome our own guests.
Our founders were raised in the villages around Merzouga and Ouarzazate, where hospitality isn't a service — it's who we are. What began as guiding a handful of friends across the dunes has become a close team of drivers, cooks, camel handlers and camp hosts, all local, all sharing the places we love most.
We stayed small on purpose. Every itinerary is still planned by a real person who has driven the roads, slept in the camps and watched a thousand sunrises over Erg Chebbi. When you travel with us, you're not a booking number — you're a guest.
